This is love at first sight. Gimmelwald is a sleepy little village with about 95 inhabitants. There are no cars, no television, no newspaper and not even a grocery store. But there are lots of cows and fine mountain cheese. The only way to get to Gimmelwald is by cable car or on foot. Gimmelwald is like from another star: a fantastic view, nice people in the hostel and no worries. It will be very hard to leave here....
Hostel
The Mountain Hostel is the hostel with the most beautiful view. Enjoy hiking in the surrounding mountains, playing the guitar in the evening or listening to the traditional yodeling of the mountain people - real traditional Swiss entertainment with the clean air of the Alps. These are just a few of the many things you can experience here in Gimmelwald. You can check in, but you may never be able to leave!
