Oldtown Hostel Otter
Lukas Hofstetter
Oberdorfstrasse 7
8001 Zürich
The Oldtown Hostel Otter is situated in the middle of Zurich's old town. The former Hotel Otter became a hostel in 2016. The individually designed private rooms are located on the upper floors, while the shared rooms are on the lower floors. Guests have access to a lounge with kitchenette and free luggage storage.
Especially appreciated is the central location and the Wüste-Bar on the ground floor to meet locals as well as other travelers. Zurich's sights are within walking distance of the hostel and Lake Zurich is just 200 metres away. The Kunsthaus (art museum), as well as the Opera House, can be easily reached on foot in 5 minutes. The legendary Café Odeon is also just around the corner.
The hostel offers 50 beds on Oberdorfstrasse, which is the pedestrian zone at the upper end of the old town. There are 7 dormitories and 8 private rooms on offer at a reasonable price. The common room with a small kitchen, microwave, fridge, kettle and oven can be used 24 hours a day. Tea and instant coffee can be drunk there free of charge all day.
